
Detectives from State Crime Command’s Financial Crimes Squad have charged a woman following an investigation into the alleged fraudulent operation of an unregistered daycare centre in Denham Court.
Strike Force Lutterworth was established by State Crime Command’s Financial Crimes Squad to investigate the alleged fraudulent activities of a 33-year-old woman believed to be unlawfully operating the daycare facility.
Detectives identified that between November 2023 and April 2024, the woman allegedly operated the service without the required legal registration or approvals, accepted additional children into care, and failing to pay rent on the property used.
As inquiries continued, detectives uncovered further alleged fraudulent conduct, including the falsification of documents relating to real estate matters and fraudulent dealings with government agencies, including the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and Services Australia (Centrelink).
Following inquiries, about 9am yesterday (Wednesday), a 33-year-old woman was arrested.
She was charged with 12 counts of dishonestly obtaining a financial advantage, four counts of using false document, and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
The woman was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today (Thursday).
It will be alleged in court the woman committed fraud to the value of $400,000.

Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives have charged a man over the armed robbery of a cash courier in a Liverpool shopping centre almost a year ago in March 2025.
A 50-year-old man employed as a cash courier parked his car before walking from the vehicle with a bag containing cash.
Two men armed with a baseball bat and a knife threatened the man, before assaulting him and stealing his backpack.
The men were last seen leaving the carpark in a Toyota Camry; a short time later, the vehicle was found alight on Drysdale Road in Mount Pritchard.
The victim was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being take to Liverpool Hospital.
Yesterday (Wednesday) strike force detectives arrested a 21-year-old man, who was charged with aggravated robbery and refused bail to appear in court today.
