Cultural Connections is an event that will showcase diversity in performance, food and entertainment – and it’s coming to Wollondilly Shire later this month.

There will be a range of live performances from diverse cultures including a lion dance to welcome people.

Pacific Islander drumming, Samba dancers, Bollywood dancers and even Latin dancing will entertain the people of Wollondilly who attend on the day.

And anyone who loves trying new flavours and tastes won’t be disappointed, because food trucks will serve up cuisines from across the globe.

The food will be reflective of the diverse range of cultures potentially moving into the region and of the cultural performances presented during the event.

Market stalls will sell locally made arts and crafts, fresh and preserved foods and desserts.

The event will provide a significant benefit to the local community, says Wollondilly Shire Council.

It says Cultural Connections will be an inclusive, diverse celebration that will enable residents and visitors to connect whilst providing activities for all age groups and cultures.

Wollondilly Shire Council was recently awarded a grant through Multicultural NSW for a new event and the result is Cultural Connections.

It will be held at Hannaford Oval at Wilton on Saturday, June 15, 10am until 4pm – and everyone in the community is invited.
