Camden Civic Centre and its surrounding area will come alive in a new monthly night-time event called Cultural Fusion.

It will kick off from September 28 and will be on one evening every month until February next year.

Cultural Fusion promises to be a multi-faceted extravaganza that will combine live performance, inspiring art, bustling markets and soul-stirring music.

The program has been made possible thanks to the NSW Government’s Culture Up Late grants program.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, said the monthly event was sure to delight.

“We’re always looking at ways to enhance local night-time festivities and Cultural Fusion is going to be a welcome addition to Camden Council’s events program,” she said.

“There’s no need to travel far when we have your night planned out for you every month through to February.”

Cultural Fusion will take place on 28 September, 26 October, 23 November, 21 December, 20 January and 24 February.

As part of the program, the Cultural Fusion Art Sale will allow emerging and established artists to exhibit and sell their works with no entry fee or commission. Submissions close on 18 September. Artists can register their interest at the Camden Council website.

Cultural Fusion is not the only show at the Camden Civic Centre between and now and the end of the year.

Exhibitions, theatre, music, great shows for the kids and much more are on the menu for the venue located in the heart of Camden.

Coming up at the Camden Civic Centre (pictured below) is the Camden Wellness Expo on 8 October, Duende Flamenco Show – Paco Lara on 13 October; Play School – Humpty’s Showtime on 13 October; · Camden Wedding Expo on 15 October, Women Like Us on 10 November and psychic medium Mitchell Coombes on 24 November.
