Campbelltown kids can learn a musical instrument or dive into creative writing these school holidays.
They are just two activities on offer in local libraries, Campbelltown Arts Centre and On Q.
Just a note that with the wet weather we’re currently experiencing it may be best to check before going to some of the outdoor events.
The offerings from libraries include free colouring activities every day until Saturday, July 16.
There will be creative writing workshops for children next Monday, July 11, followed by one for teenagers on Tuesday, July 12, and a third one for young adults on Wednesday (July 13).
Kids interested in trying their hand at playing an instrument will want to get their parents to take them to Meddlesome Music at HJ Daley Library next Monday (July 11).
In Ingleburn, the Greg Percival Library will hold a music production workshop on Friday, July 15 for those interested in writing and recording music.
Tomorrow (Tuesday, July 5), weather permitting, head down to the Forum Q space on Queen Street where the team from The Enchanted Trove will host a plaster painting art workshop.
This Thursday (July 7), Hula Hoop Dance will run a one-hour hula hoop workshop while Mess it Up will hold a canvas painting and craft buffet workshop.
The Campbelltown Bicycle Education Centre will be open throughout the holidays from 10am to 3pm daily, but again it’s best if you check beforehand while the rain persists.
Another free activity on offer is a virtual tour through Campbelltown Arts Centre’s beautiful Japanese Gardens with a Sanpo Drawing pack.
Visit the ‘What’s On’ section of Campbelltown Council’s website for further information and details about school holiday activities.

A big social event every year is the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation Women’s Trust Luncheon.
It is scheduled for Friday, August 5, 2022 at Wests League Club.
The foundation says they have a wonderful afternoon planned with a two-course meal, drinks, entertainment, major raffle and plenty of giveaways.
This is the only event on the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation calendar where funds raised go towards purchasing new equipment for the local paediatric loan pool.
By attending this event you will be supporting children who require on-going access to loan pool medical equipment
