Police have this afternoon launched for information after a man was hospitalised in a serious condition following a crash north of Campbelltown last week.
The incident occurred around 5.30am on Friday, November 4.
Emergency services were called to the Hume Motorway, Ingleburn, following reports of a truck and van colliding in the northbound lanes.
The driver of the van, a 29-year-old man, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital with a head injury, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Officers attached to Campbelltown Police Area Command breath tested the truck driver, a 48-year-old man, who provided a negative result.
As the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue, police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage to come forward.
In particular, investigators have released a dashcam image of a red station wagon and would like to speak the driver.
Anyone with information that may assist investigators is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
