
A couple have been charged and will face court after a man was found seriously injured after being stabbed last weekend.
Police yesterday arrested a man and a woman, both aged 41, at a motel on the Hume Highway at Casula.
Police then executed a search warrant on the room and located items that included knives, baseball bats, mobile phones and personal documents which will be subject to further scientific examination and investigation.
The pair were taken to Liverpool Police Station where the man was charged with robbery in company causing wounding, grievous bodily harm and robbery.
The woman was charged with robbery in company causing wounding, grievous bodily harm.
Both were refused bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court today (Friday, February 7).
The alleged incident occurred last Saturday.
Emergency services were called to a unit on Copeland Street, Liverpool, and fficers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and located a 40-year-old man with a stab wound to his stomach.
The man was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for surgery.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Three men have now been charged after 5,000 cannabis plants were seized during a search warrant in a Leppington property yesterday.
The three men, aged 36, 43, and 39, were taken to Narellan Police Station where they were charged with a number of drugs offences, including cultivating and supplying cannabis.
They were refused bail to appear before Picton Local Court today (Friday, February 7).
