As we fast approach the pointy end of 2023, it is time to fine tune the putter, polish up the driver and practise those golf cart driving skills for the annual South West Sydney Academy of Sport golf day.
This year it will be held on Friday, November 24 at Campbelltown Golf Club.
The academy golf day is an opportunity for locals to have a great day out on the picturesque golf course at Glen Alpine – and support one of our leading community organisations.
Campbelltown Golf Club is home of the academy’s young and highly talented golf program squad members.
It means that if you plan to take part, upgrade your team entry to include one of the academy’s golf squad, which won the teams event at the 2022 and 2023 Regional Academy Games in Wagga Wagga.
While out on the course for 18 holes of picturesque Ambrose action on November 24, you will also be able to challenge yourself in the longest drive competition, or if you prefer the short game, the nearest the pin competition.
Not confident with your stroke or struggle to get the ball across the water hazard? Why not take an “Academy Advantage’’ and bid for one of the academy’s stars to hit your ball off the tee for you; along with other various games and challenges throughout the day.
Following what promises to be a fun and thrilling round of golf, head to the clubhouse and join fellow academy supporters to celebrate the on-course action and antics – and the networking opportunities during the barbecue buffet luncheon that will be provided as part of the package.
With options open for golf day individual hole sponsorship, as well as team or individual entry, there is something for everyone to come out in support of the talented athletes of our sports academy.
This year, South West Sydney Academy of Sport has joined forces with Endeavor Homes (major event partner), SVSR Mini Cranes (silver) and Fit Clinic and the Campbelltown Golf Club (bronze partners) for this annual fundraiser.
