Three men arrested, charged over supply of ice in South West

Three men will appear in Campbelltown court today following their arrests as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of methamphetamine – also known as ice – in outer South Western Sydney.

Strike Force Cowed was established by detectives from Campbelltown City Police Area Command In February this year to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs.

Throughout the investigation so far, Strike Force Cowed have seized 626g of methylamphetamines, with an estimated potential street value of $563,400.

Yesterday morning, with assistance from specialist police attached to South West Metropolitan Operations Support Group, they arrested three men in Leppington.

The men are aged 40, 30 and 23.

Three subsequent search warrants were executed at homes in Bradbury, Rosemeadow and Mt Druitt, where police seized $75,000 cash, 2kg of cannabis, 50g of cocaine, a replica Glock and electronic devices.

The men were taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where the oldest man was charged with supplying a  large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug, six counts of supplying drugs, dealing with property proceeds of crime and participating in a criminal group activity.

The 30-year-old man was charged with supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug, drive a motor vehicle while his licence was suspended and participate in a criminal group activity.

The younger man was also charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.

He also faces five counts of supplying drugs as well as supplying cannabis, dealing with the proceeds of crime, participate in criminal group and possess unregistered firearm-pistol.

All three men were refused bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court today (Friday 19 August 2022).

Investigations continue.
