It’s the best community walk in the most picturesque location in Macarthur, and it returns for another edition on Sunday, March 22.
The very first Challenge Walk was on April 21, 1991 and there were just over 250 competitors.
Locals can register now for the 2026 Campbelltown City Challenge Walk at the scenic Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan.
As usual competitors can choose between the 6km and 11km course, with gates opening at 6.30am, ahead of the event start at 8am.
The popular Colour Burst will return, offering participants the chance to get showered in coloured powder during completion of the course.
“The Campbelltown City Challenge Walk is a great chance to get out into the beautiful surrounds of the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan and join one of our long-running and beloved events,” says the Mayor of Campbelltown Darcy Lound.
“We’re committed to promoting healthy lifestyles in Campbelltown, and it’s great to see the continued support for this event every year,” Cr Lound said.
“I encourage everyone to register and join us for another great day outdoors full of fitness, fun and wellbeing,” he said.
A selection of health and wellness stalls will be available on-site, alongside food and drink vendors and live music performances.
A short medal ceremony recognising placing competitors will be held following the completion of the 11km course.
In-person registrations at Campbelltown Civic Centre close on Friday, March 13, while online registrations close on Wednesday, March 18 at 11.59pm.
