Sally Quinnell says her electorate office, which is now open for business, will offer something extra when constituents drop in to meet with her.
Ms Quinnell, who was elected to the seat of Camden at the March 27 election, says her Narellan Town Centre office will also be a kind of an art gallery.
The Labor MP says that in coming weeks and months her office will showcase culturally significant artwork from Camden artists.
“This is just the first step to ensure that Camden has a strong local voice,’’ Ms Quinnell said.
“We are committed to creating a social and community hub in my electorate office.’’
As well as a room to meet with constituents, the office will also feature toys and activities for young children as well as displays provided by local community organisations.
“This is all part of my commitment to work with the Minns Labor Government to ensure that the needs of the Camden electorate are met after 12 years of inaction by the previous government,’’ Ms Quinnell said.
“I’m thrilled to announce that my electorate office is finally open and want to thank everyone in the community who have been incredibly patient with me while I get things up and running.
“It’s been greatly appreciated. And I’m so excited to start meeting with everyone in Camden.
“After 12 years of inaction by the Coalition Government, it’s time that Camden starts receiving the attention it deserves,” Ms Quinnell said.
