Camden will be spreading the love even more now the We’re Stronger Together campaign has been launched.

Residents will see a range of positive messages installed on light pole banners in Camden and Oran Park as well as bus shelters and floor stickers in parks and playgrounds across the Camden area as part of the campaign.

Coming off the back of #camdenlove, which is still active, We’re Stronger Together aims to remind the community to stay safe, positive, stick together and to reach out for support if needed.

There is even some fun for the young ones too, with a number of the floor stickers taking the form of hopscotch and snakes and ladders games to play on.

“We know it has been a difficult time and this campaign is a reminder to our community that we are stronger, safer and happier when we stick together,” says the mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli.

“It’s been amazing to see residents respond to the call to get vaccinated to keep themselves and their loved ones safe, with more then 90 per cent of our community having already received their first dose.

“We are turning this around and it’s a great feeling.

“I know I am starting to look to the future and think about the things I can’t wait to do when restrictions ease later this year, and I know many other people are doing and feeling the same.

“It’s important we do not become complacent and make sure we’re all obeying the restrictions and maintaining strict social distancing and mask wearing measures when we do leave our homes.

“I’d like to remind everyone to stay safe by not congregating around these games – we want you and your children to enjoy the fun and continue on your daily walk to keep everyone safe and healthy.’’

Residents are encouraged to take photos of the positive messages they see on their daily walks or trips through the Camden area and upload them to social media with the hashtag #camdenlove.
