If you’ve always wanted to know more about the rich history of Camden the 2024 Unlock Camden event is just what the doctor ordered.

This is a chance to journey back in time and take a close look at Camden’s fascinating history.

This year’s Unlock Camden will again be held in the Camden Town Centre, 10am-3pm on Saturday, September 28.

A variety of activities and displays will be on offer at a number of Camden’s iconic historic locations, from the  Alan Baker Art Gallery to Camden Library and Camden Town Farm.

Council general manager Andrew Carfield said the day is also a celebration of the rich history of Camden.

“Now in its seventh year, Unlock Camden 2024 will be a real treat for the whole family and is all about embracing and commemorating Camden’s unique heritage,” he said.

“I encourage everyone to come along and explore Camden’s intriguing history. There’s so much to discover and learn about the rich historical past, from guided walking tours, museum and family history displays and much more.”

The program will feature guided heritage walking tours, live music, museum and family history displays, vintage car displays, art demonstrations, a community barbecue, market stalls and vintage garden games.
