Macarthur Bulls FC has landed the signature of Socceroos midfielder Anthony Caceres.
This is one of the biggest signings of the club, which entered the A-League competition in 2020-21.
An accomplished and creative playmaker, Caceres brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the Bulls’ midfield.
He joins the club following a successful stint at Sydney FC, where he made over 200 appearances and played a key role in securing two A-League Championships and an Australia Cup title.
Known for his composure on the ball, sharp distribution, and ability to dictate play, Caceres is expected to play a central role as the Bulls prepare for a busy season, including the Australia Cup, AFC Champions League 2, and the 2025-26 A-League.

Caceres also boasts international experience, having recently featured for the Socceroos under Tony Popovic in high-profile matches against Japan and Saudi Arabia.
“I’m very excited to be joining the Bulls at such a crucial time in my life and career,’’ Caceres said of his move to Campbelltown.
“I hope in the season ahead we can bring a lot of joy and success to the club and fans.
“The Bulls made a big effort to sign me and provided me and my family an opportunity to play football close to home. As a father and husband I always put my family first and Macarthur ticked all the boxes for what we are looking for at this stage of our lives.”
Fans can expect a midfielder who is able to get into dangerous positions, creating the perfect goal scoring opportunities for his teammates.
“I hope to bring a winning mentality to the club which has already won two Australia Cups, and with my experience contribute to building a team that will be successful in the coming season,” Caceres said.
His arrival at the Bulls sees him reunite with former teammate and current Bulls captain Luke Brattan, reigniting a strong midfield partnership built on experience, creativity, and leadership.
“Brattan is one of my closest mates and someone I have a great relationship with on the field.”
“We understand each other’s game very well and will complement one another to the benefit of the team.
“We’ve had a lot of success in the past winning a number of trophies together and I hope to recreate some of those memories with the Bulls.”
