Encore, the award winning exercise and wellness program for women who have experienced breast cancer treatment, reconstruction, or preventative surgery, is returning in 2023.

The program was designed by healthcare professionals to help restore mobility, flexibility and confidence through gentle land and water-based exercises.

In addition to the physical benefits of Encore, guest speakers provide participants with valuable information on topics relevant to women who’ve experienced breast cancer.

“Support and connection with others play an important role in adjusting to life post-cancer and Encore provides the opportunity to connect with others who share a similar experience,’’ says Mt Annan Encore program coordinator Kyro Brower.

“Having fun is also an essential element of the program!

“Women who have been through the journey of breast cancer at any time in their lives are welcome to register to attend the program,’’ says Ms Bower.

On Thursday, February 9, the first session of the YWCA Encore breast cancer exercise program for 2023 will kick off in Mount Annan.

The program runs for two hours, between 10am and 12 noon, every Thursday.

It will be on from February 9 to March 30. Registration is essential and can be done via the program website at www.ywcaencore.org.au.

YWCA Encore is funded by NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
