As a wonderful reminder that life does go on in the age of Covid-19, the State Member for Macquarie Fields, Anoulack Chanthivong, and his wife, Anna Kovalsky, this morning welcomed their second child to the world: a baby boy named Christopher Jaidee Chanthivong.
Christopher, who was born at Campbelltown Hospital at 5.54am (Wednesday, April 8) weighing 3.15 kilograms, is a little brother for Audrey (who turns two in five days’ time on Monday, April 13.
“Anna and I are thrilled to welcome our second child, Christopher, into the world,’’ said the father.
“We are very grateful for all the kind messages of love and support we have received.”
Mr Chanthivong and Anna also thanked the doctors and nursing staff for the exceptional level of care.
“We would like to offer our sincere thanks to all health care workers, particularly at a time of additional demands and stress given the current Covid-19 pandemic.
“Our nurses and doctors are on the frontline each and every day and we can’t thank them enough.’’
Mr Chanthivong said he was looking forward to enjoying precious moments together as a family over coming months.
“Like all parents, nothing compares to the joy and love of getting to know your newborn and watching your children grow,’’ he said.
“I look forward to making more special memories together as a family,” he said.
