The official opening of Campbelltown Billabong Parklands was in July, but an even bigger, community event will be held to celebrate the area’s newest attraction.

Locals eager to dive into the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands pools can now book their tickets
for a special event to mark the opening of the pools on Saturday, August 31.

From 10am to 5pm on that, visitors can enjoy an opening ceremony and ribbon cutting, kids’ inflatable activities, lawn games, roving entertainment and the newly opened pools.

“The Campbelltown Billabong Parklands has been embraced by our community as a wonderful place to explore and spend the day with family and friends,” says Mayor George Greiss.

“Following a successful formal opening in June, we’re thrilled to open the pools to the public ahead of the busy summer season and provide our community with a great opportunity to enjoy the water as the weather starts to warm up,” he said.

Activities planned for the launch include The official opening ceremony and ribbon-cutting and a kids’ inflatable slides and soft play, rubber duck hide ‘n’ seek, bunting and garland decorations for photo opportunities, interactive mascots, roving magicians, lawn games and food trucks.

Free tickets are required to enter this special event and can be accessed via council’s website.

Following this special event, the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands pools will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm on weekends and public holidays only.

The Parklands, splash play area and all other features such as picnic huts and barbecues will remain available whenever the facility is open.

The summer season will kick off on November 1, when access to the pools will be extended to include weekdays.
