Strike Force Temarang was established by State Crime Command’s Drug & Firearms Squad into the importation and manufacture of 3D printed firearms and firearm parts, 3D computer aided designed software, and other privately manufactured firearms.

During the search, detectives allegedly seized two 3D printed push daggers, digital blueprints for firearms as well as electronic devices.

A 40-year-old man was arrested and taken to Campbeltown Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of using a prohibited weapon contrary to a prohibition order, two counts of manufacturing a prohibited weapon without a permit, two counts of possessing a digital blueprint for making prohibited weapons and two counts of possessing firearms material obtained using carriage service.

He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on the day of his arrest.
