Ambarvale stabbing: appeal for information

Police are appealing for information following a stabbing near Campbelltown last week.

They say that about 12am on Thursday, July 18, emergency services were called to a licensed premises on Woodhouse Drive, Ambarvale, following reports of an assault.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and located a 20-year-old man with a laceration to his face.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for further treatment.

A 27-year-old man presented himself to Campbelltown Hospital for treatment of a laceration to his arm.

As police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, they are asking that anyone who has any information to call Campbelltown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A man has died following a two vehicle crash north of Campbelltown over the weekend.

Just after 8pm on Saturday 20 July 2024), emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash on Denham Court Road at Leppington, near Camden Valley Way.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command District arrived to find a white utility had hit two other vehicles which were stopped at the intersection.

Despite the efforts of first responders, the driver of the utility, a man believed to be aged in his 60s, died at hospital.

There were no other reported injuries.

Police established crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident.

They will now prepare a report for the information of the Coroner regarding the man’s death.

As investigations continue, anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash cam footage is asked to call Campbelltown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
