The latest Bureau of Health Information (BHI) data is not happy reading for Camden residents who seek treatment at Campbelltown Hospital.
Liberal candidate for Camden Mick Willing has pounced on then data released last week, saying Camden patients are being forced to wait longer for treatment and more people are leaving without being seen.
Mr Willing said the latest Bureau of Health Information (BHI) data makes it clear that Camden’s essential services are getting worse under Labor, with key measures moving backwards, leaving more patients stuck in ambulances outside or walking out without completing treatment.
“The data for Campbelltown Hospital makes for incredibly grim reading,” Mr Willing said.
“There has been a 16.4 per cent increase in patients leaving without completing treatment, and only 17.1 per cent of patients are being treated or admitted to hospital within six hours when the target is 80 per cent!
“This is not good enough, and the Camden community deserves better.
“It deserves a Liberal Government that will ensure people get the medical help they need, when they need it.”
NSW Opposition Leader Kellie Sloane said NSW deserves better healthcare services, but all Labor has delivered in three years is excuses and longer waits for patients.
“Last month, the Premier told people to avoid our hospitals, and this data reveals many patients were already doing that rather than facing Labor’s long hospital wait times,’’ Ms Sloane said.
“Labor has shown their only plan for our hospitals is to blame Canberra when something goes wrong.’’
