All the pieces are falling into place as Western Sydney International (WSI) prepares to open later this year.
The latest piece of the puzzle has seen Australia’s leading car rental agencies coming on board to operate from WSI, with customers set to benefit from a range of convenient options when flights take off from Sunday, October 25.
Travellers will be able to choose from a broad range of cars and rental options across five rental agencies, with Hertz, Avis, Budget, Europcar and Redspot all joining WSI.
WSI’s car rental offering has been designed to support its customer-first approach, delivering a seamless and intuitive experience, which reflects the airport’s digitally enabled operating model.
WSI CEO Simon Hickey said the appointment of car rental partners is another way in which customers will enjoy more choice and flexibility at their new 24-hour airport.
“At WSI, we’re rethinking the airport experience from the ground up and that includes how customers access car hire when they arrive or depart,” he said.
“Our car rental offering has been designed around convenience, choice and simplicity giving travellers access to leading global brands through a seamless experience.
“WSI will serve as a gateway to some of Australia’s most popular driving holiday destinations including the Blue Mountains and Southern Highlands.
“For visitors looking to explore Sydney and beyond, having convenient access to rental vehicles from the moment they arrive will make it easier to discover these iconic regions by road.”
Each of the major brands will have a kiosk within the terminal, serving both pre-booked and walk-up customers, in an integrated approach, allowing travellers to easily arrange transport on arrival.
In line with WSI’s focus on customer convenience and efficiency, vehicle collection will be in P1, within a short two-to-three-minute walk from the terminal, swiftly connecting customers from aircraft to road to continue their journey.
Bookings will open via participating operator websites in the coming months with information also set be published on the WSI website ahead of passenger services commencing in October.
These latest partnerships further strengthen WSI’s integrated ground transport offering, which is designed to provide a range of convenient travel options, from public bus links, car hire, ride-share, and expansive on-site parking.
