The Rams are about to equalise thanks to a rocket from Sakura Nojima.

The two Macarthur teams competing in the National Premier Leagues Women’s NSW football competition both won away from home in Round 12 on the weekend.

At Popondetta Park, Macarthur Rams defeated home side Western City Rangers 2-1.

And at North Turramurra Recreational Area Bulls FC Academy defeated the Northern Tigers 2-0.

The home side arrived in Round 12 eager to recover from their loss against the Macarthur Rams last weekend, while Bulls FC Academy came ready to solidify their place in the top four.
It was the Bulls who jumped ahead in the 48th minute, with Amber Luchtmeijer triggering the opener after racing down the right wing and cutting back for Arna Hogarth-Scott to confidently fire the ball into the back of the net for 1-0.
Jynaya Dos Santos then produced an excellent second goal for the Bulls in the 64th minute after breaking away from her defender and curling an outstanding finish into the top left corner for 2-0.
The Bulls would ultimately hold on to the 2-0 lead and seal the three vital points in the end.

This season has seen neither the Western City Rangers or the Macarthur Rams perform at their peak yet, meaning their Round 12 match-up was certainly one to keep an eye on heading into the weekend.
Catalina Wyrzynski kicked-off the goalscoring for the Rangers in the 18th minute with a terrific strike from the left wing that rocketed into the top right corner.
With her side trailing 1-0, Sakura Nojima produced an outstanding strike of her own when she cut inside to evade an onrushing defender and fired into the top right corner for 1-1 in the 27th minute.
Nojima then dazzled with her second of the evening, taking advantage of a frenetic moment in the box to burst forward and side step the keeper to score the Macarthur Rams winner in the 50th minute.
