
A former officer is before the courts charged with allegedly making a false police report.
In October 2025, officers attached to Camden Police Area Command commenced an investigation into reports of a domestic incident in Oran Park.
Following inquiries, police arrested and charged a 25-year-old man over the alleged incident; however, following further information those charges were withdrawn.
On November 7, 2025, police charged a 24-year-old woman, who at the time was a probationary constable attached to a South West Metropolitan Region command, with knowingly make false or misleading statement.
She was issued a court attendance notice to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on January 13 this year.
Following further inquiries, the woman was also charged with make false accusation with intent subject other to investigation, false representation resulting in police investigation, and contravene prohibition or restriction in AVO (Domestic).
She was issued a court attendance notice to appear before Campbelltown Local Court today (Tuesday, March 17).
The former officer has since resigned from the NSW Police Force.

A man has been charged after an alleged pursuit and police vehicles rammed in Campbelltown.
Campbelltown City Police Area Command commenced an investigation after reports a white Ford Falcon utility was allegedly stolen from a home in Macquarie Fields earlier this month
Patrolling police located and attempted to stop the ute travelling on Bradbury Avenue, at Campbelltown.
When the vehicle allegedly failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated.
A short time later on Shakespeare Street, the vehicle allegedly rammed a police vehicle then drove at an officer, who moved out of the way.
The ute then hit a fence before ramming a second police vehicle.
The vehicle came to a stop and the alleged driver, a 28-year-old man was arrested.
Inquiries revealed the man’s driver’s licence was disqualified until 2028, and during a search of the man, officers allegedly located and seized an amount of cannabis.
He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with stealing a vehicle, police pursuit, drive dangerously, use offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention, negligent driving, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, and possess prohibited drug.
