Robbie Farah is finally back but Martin Taupau and Chris Lawrence are gone.
Sounds like it’s Jason Taylor naming his team again? Yes, it is.
You have got to feel for the coach, who has had to deal with a roster that resembles a revolving door.
Especially since he identified the loss of players due to injury as a major cause for lack of success in previous years at the Wests Tigers.
But them’s the breaks and the old Magpies halfback is probably getting used to not having half a dozen players available for selection.
Lawrence is out with an ankle injury, but Martin Taupau was suspended and will be badly missed in the round 21 clash against the Storm at Leichhardt Oval this Friday night.
But at least Farah will be back to play his first game for the club since round 16 against the Panthers.
The absence of Taupau and Lawrence sees a reshuffle in the back row, with Sauaso Sue starting at lock and Dene Halatau moving to the vacant second row position.
Prop forward Ava Seumanufagai is also due to return from a knee injury as part of a five man interchange bench.
The really good news for long suffering Wests Tigers fans is that prop forward Aaron Woods will bring up a significant milestone this week, with the Leichhardt junior named to play what will be his 100th NRL match.
Hopefully that helps lift the team to a badly needed victory and two premiership points.
Sorry to mention it, but it’s all about avoiding the dreaded wooden spoon now, folks.
