It only seems like yesterday a little bit of Hollywood glamour came to Campbelltown for the premiere of The Blind Sea, a moving, brilliant documentary film about a blind surfer.
Well, it was actually last August that Event Cinemas at Macarthur Square hosted a black tie, red carpet affair to celebrate the huge Campbelltown connection to The Blind Sea.
Proud Campbelltown local Daniel Fenech wrote, directed and edited The Blind Sea, while his partner in life, Erin, was executive producer.
The Fenechs are behind Brick Studios, a film production company which also was involved in the making of cult Aussie film Christmess.
But back to the The Blind Sea and the reason for this little yarn six months after that wonderful evening in the heart of Campbelltown.
A little bird has whispered in our ears that The Blind Sea is about to hit the mighty streaming service Netflix from this Saturday.
The official announcement is on the way tomorrow, Thursday, but we wanted to share the good news with our loyal readers, especially those with a Netflix account, as soon as possible.
If you haven’t seen The Blind Sea yet check it out on Netflix: it’s an amazing documentary film with an ending that’s just wild.
We confirmed the Netflix release with Daniel Fenech today, and took the opportunity to find out what Brick Studios will be cooking next.
Apparently Brick Studios have in development a documentary series called “You’ve Changed”.
Erin Fenech will be leading this one.
Brick Studios are doing a casting call out looking for interesting people with amazing stories, so if that’s you get in touch with them.

Thanks Eric! Always a great supporter of the Macarthur people
