This Saturday night’s Round six Macarthur FC assignment should be simple enough: win and win well.
After all they are playing Brisbane Roar, a team that has yet to record a premiership point from four games played this season.
The Queenslanders have lost all four of their A-League matches, conceding 10 goals and scoring just four of their own.
Bulls also have another statistic in their favour: in nine clashes with Brisbane they have won five of those and lost just two – two were drawn.
But as anyone with even a small amount of football knowledge will tell you these are the games to watch out for.
They’re called “danger games’’. That’s because there’s nothing like a team that’s desperate for a win.
The Bulls will have to be ready for it, simple as that.
No doubt the Roar will throw everything but the kitchen sink at Macarthur FC tomorrow night.
That’s why defence will be the key in this game, which will kick off at 7.35pm under lights at Campbelltown Stadium.
It’s worth pointing out that the Bulls should also have a little bit of desperation about them following last Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Auckland in Unite Round.
That makes it three losses and two wins from five games for coach Mile Sterjovski and his squad.
Getting the three points against Brisbane tomorrow night is important, especially being a home game.
Crowd support is going to be crucial for the Bulls, who love hearing those cow bells ringing.
The numbers at home games are gradually increasing, so hopefully there will be solid support for Macarthur FC tomorrow night.
Go the Bulls!
