Campbelltown residents are encouraged to help recognise someone who has given up their valuable time to volunteer with one of the many organisations that make a substantial impact in the local community.

Nominations are open for the 2024 Gift of Time Awards, which acknowledge and thank Campbelltown volunteers for their tireless efforts and selfless work in the city.

Past award recipients – including those pictured above from last year – have represented a diverse range of organisations, including school groups, charity groups, sports and fitness organisations, library programs and emergency services.

“It is important that we pause to recognise the many great volunteers and community organisations who do invaluable work in our city,” says Campbelltown City Council CEO Lindy Deitz.

“Being a volunteer means you are not only there to run an event or program on the day, but also spend countless hours doing preparation and admin beforehand,” Ms Deitz said.

“I encourage all residents to put forward a nomination for someone that deserves recognition.”

Nominations for this year’s Gift of Time Awards will close on Friday, November 29.

Recipients are recognised by the mayor of the day for their contribution and commitment to Campbelltown.

Council says this year’s awards ceremony set to be held in early December 2024.
