Campbelltown to hold election forum on September 2

A local government election candidate forum will be held in Campbelltown on Monday evening, September 2.

It will be held in the theatre room of the Campbelltown Arts Centre from 6.30pm to 9pm.

The forum – just four days before pre-poll voting starts – will be hosted by Campbelltown City Council, with Eric Kontos from the South West Voice to be the moderator on the night.

Candidates will be asked to respond to questions from Campbelltown residents to be emailed to the South West Voice at erickontos@southwestvoice.com.au

Closing date for questions will be 5pm, Thursday, August 29.

A panel will choose the questions to be put to the candidates.

No questions will be taken from the floor on the night of the forum so please email a question if you have one.

Only one candidate per party will be able to respond to the questions asked on the night.

They will be given three minutes to respond to each question.

Candidates will take turns answering the same question.

The forum with be recorded and made available on Campbelltown Council’s website as soon as possible after the event.

Seating in the arts centre theatre room is limited so residents who wish to attend the forum will be required to RSVP their attendance via council’s website.

  • Pre-poll voting opens on Saturday, September 7 and closes on Friday, September 13, followed by election day on Saturday, September 14.
