Perennial finalists Camden Rams are almost certain to take out the minor premiership following their impressive victory over the Workers in Oakdale on the weekend.
Camden (29 points) will need to lose its last two games, while Mittagong, three points behind on the ladder, have to win their remaining two matches to overtake the Rams.
Thirlmere Roosters are third on 25 points after their close 34-32 win over East Campbelltown.
In fourth place are the Oakdale Workers with 22 points, and who need one more win out of their last two games to secure a finals spot in 2023.
The team that is in real danger of being knocked of its perch is fifth placed Oaks Tigers, who are on 20 points.
Two sides, East Campbelltown Eagles and Picton Magpies, are just two points behind and ready to pounce if the Tigers falter over the next two rounds.
The Oaks host neighbours Oakdale in a big match this Saturday at Dudley Chesham Sports Ground, with a 4.30pm kick off.
And while all the interest is at the pointy end of the Macarthur Conference ladder, one team at least will be trying to become the focus of the round.
The South West Goannas will be looking to record their first win of the season when they host Narellan at Onslow on Sunday afternoon.
Being their namesake, the South West Voice thinks the brave Goannas are a real chance of a massive upset so we will be backing them to break through against the Jets, who are out of finals contention.
