Police are appealing for public assistance to locate this young boy, who has been reported missing.
Awab Farhan, aged 13, was last seen on Chapel Road, Bankstown, around midday last Monday (May 15).
When he could not be located, officers attached to Camden Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare due to his age.
Awab is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 180cm tall, of a slim build, and black hair.
He was last seen wearing a black Nike hooded jacket with a red zipper, grey track pants and black running shoes.
Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to call Camden Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

in a separate incident, police are appealing for information over a crash that occurred last month in Leppington.
About 11.50pm on Saturday, April 1, emergency services were called to the intersection of Camden Valley Way and Denham Court at Leppington after a pedestrian was hit by a car.
Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and were told the pedestrian, a 34-year-old man, was struck by a blue Mazda.
The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition, where he remains.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has dashcam vision from the area.
