A hotel, shops and conference centre to cater to the needs of a growing region are included in newly unveiled plans for a business precinct at the gateway to Western Sydney International Airport.
Stage one of the development is expected to generate 400 jobs through construction with another 2000 permanent jobs once the business precinct is fully occupied and operational.
CEO Simon Hickey says the precinct is designed to initially service the region’s steadily growing construction workforce and would evolve as the airport and its surroundings develop over time.
“While the airport and the connections to it are being built, there are thousands of workers across the runway, terminal, civil works, metro and M12 construction sites and they will be the first to use this precinct which will adapt to meet the needs of airport customers,” Mr Hickey said.
“Once the airport becomes operational in 2026, the precinct will welcome flight crews and international passengers, but we are leading the way by meeting the demand for shops, accommodation and offices, which is increasing as momentum builds.”
The 20-hectare site is designed to include a 10 storey, 150 room hotel, gym, café and conference facility and around 25,000 square metres of warehouse and office space.
The initial construction phase includes internal roads and connections to arterial roads.

The Western Sydney Airport business precinct stage one major development plan is on public display until July 13 in the airport’s experience centre, Liverpool City Council Library and online.
