Campbelltown City Lions club have put big smiles on the faces of local children in hospital.
As part of one of their special projects, the club had put together 50 Easter bags.
The plan was to deliver the goodies in the children’s ward of Campbelltown Hospital ahead of Easter.
So last Friday, March 1, a group of Lions members, led by club president Norm, walked into the ward bearing Easter gifts for the little children doing it tough at the moment.
Lions members Marlene, Colin, Anne and Susan (all pictured in the photo above) joined Norm in giving a little bit of joy to the children.
Three of the Lions members even wore bunny ears for the occasion.
“It was such a pleasure for our president and four of our members to deliver the 50 Easter bags to the children at Campbelltown Hospital,’’ the club said in a media statement.
“It was a thrill to bring a smile to the children’s faces as we approached them with our bunnies ears and to hand them a bag of Easter surprise.
“One excited child jumped out of bed to greet us as we walked through the door to her ward, while the parents were very grateful. ‘’
The Campbelltown City Lions club raise funds through barbecues at Bunnings and donations from the public.
