A Catherine Field woman has been charged with being in possession of two dogs stolen from a property in the same suburb.
The 49-year-old woman was arrested yesterday and taken to Narellan Police Station, where she was charged with goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.
She was granted conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court on Wednesday, April 26.
The dogs meanwhile have been returned to their respective owners.
The alleged theft occurred around 1am a week earlier on Monday, March 27.
Officers from Camden Police Area Command were called to a home in Catherine Fields Road at Catherine Field, following reports of a break and enter.
On arrival, investigators were told that a shed had been broken into and two dogs had been stolen from the property.
A crime scene was established, and investigations commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following extensive inquiries, officers attended a home in Deepfields Road, Catherine Field, and spoke with a 49-year-old woman yesterday (Monday, April 3) before arresting her and taking her to Narellan police station.
Police will also allege the two dogs were located at the property and were seized and returned to the owners.
