Two people died in road accidents yesterday in the outer South Western Sydney region.
One was a 29 year old motorcycle rider involved in a collision with a car at Edmondson Park.
The second fatality was an 18 year old teenager whose car crashed head on with a truck at Chipping Norton.
Just after 9.30pm last night (Thursday) emergency services were called to Camden Valley Way, near Peronne Road at Edmondson Park, following reports of a crash.
On arrival, officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command were told a car and motorcycle had been involved in a crash.
The motorcycle rider, a 29-year-old man, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he could not be revived and died at the scene.
The 50 year-old male driver of the car, a Toyota Prado, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A brief will be prepared for the information of the Coroner and police will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The second fatal incident took place around 10.45am.
Emergency services were called to Governor Macquarie Drive, Chipping Norton after reports of a head-on collision involving a truck and car.
The driver of a Honda Civic died on scene and is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be an 18-year-old man.
The truck driver, a 35 year old man, was trapped for a short time before being freed and taken to Liverpool Hospital with minor injuries and for mandatory testing.
Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
