The men’s M-League Round 7 match between Camden Tigers and Ingleburn Eagles was the only clash that was played over the weekend.

In conditions better suited to ducks than football, the Tigers prevailed 4-2 to go to the top of the ladder.

Ingleburn started quickly, scoring in the opening minute via a perfectly timed header from Nicholas De Franck following a dead ball played in by Isaac Le Beau.

Order was restored within five minutes after Brett Hay sliced through the Eagles defence and dribbled passed the keeper with ease to level the score.

The Tigers took the lead just before the break courtesy of their captain, Shuttleworth.

At the 49min, Jason Martino brought Ingleburn to life with a stunning equaliser, beating his first opponent with pace, before using his skill and composure to see off a second defender and send the keeper the wrong way.

As the rain set in it was the Eagles with all the chances, but they just couldn’t convert any of them.

The 2019 runner-up made them pay dearly in the 69th minute with Jake Taylor tapping in a well delivered cross from Shuttleworth.

With the Eagles seemingly running out of fuel, the Tigers put the final nail in the coffin at 84 minutes, again through Taylor, who bagged a brace.

Camden Tigers 4 (Taylor 2, Shuttleworth 1, Hay 1) – Ingleburn Eagles 2 (Martino 1, De Franck 1).

Matthew Wallace with 13 points is currently at the top of the men’s first grade Golden Boot table, five points clear of his Gunners teammate Anthony Nicola, who has 8 points.

In the women’s first grade, Camden Tigers goal scoring machine Tenealle Hay with 19 points is the runaway leader of Golden Boot, nine ahead of Kelly Milligan from the Eagles on 10.
