A man was due to appear in Campbelltown Local Court today charged with domestic violence related offences and an armed robbery following an arrest by Camden Police this morning.
Just after midnight, officers from Camden Police Area Command went to a house at Arena Street, Spring Farm to respond to a report of domestic violence.
Police commenced an investigation and later arrested a 28-year-old man.
As the man was being placed in the rear of a police truck, it is alleged the man kicked the door of the caged truck, damaging it.
The man was taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with:
- Destroy or damage property – domestic violence related (two counts)
- Destroy or damage property
- Assault – domestic related
- Robbery while armed with offensive weapon (the charge relates to the armed robbery of a chicken shop at Gregory Hills about 10.30pm on Thursday, January 12.

A teenager has been charged after allegedly being caught by police driving 90km/h over the speed limit in Moorebank.
Police say that around 11pm on Wednesday night officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attempted to stop a Honda Accord allegedly detected travelling at 110km/h in a 60km/h zone, on Newbridge Road.
Officers will allege that the vehicle reached speeds of up to 150km/h and failed to stop for police.
The 17-year-old male driver pulled over a short time later and produced a provisional licence.
The teenager from Miller was issued a court attendance notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h, not obey direction of police and negligent driving.
His licence was suspended, and he is due to appear before a Children’s Court on July 1.
