[dropcap]A[/dropcap] 26-year-old Mount Annan man has been charged with manslaughter after an eight-vehicle crash Campbelltown Road near Rose Payten Drive at Woodbine on Good Friday evening where a 17 year old teenager died and five others seriously injured.
The man remains under police guard in hospital and will appear via bedside court hearing at Parramatta Local Court today to face 13 charges.
He was charged with aggravated driving occasioning death, four counts of aggravated dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and causing bodily harm by misconduct.
The other charges were negligent driving occasioning death, four counts of negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and not keep left of median strip.
Police say the man, who was freed from the wreckage by witnesses, was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he underwent surgery. He remains in a serious but stable condition.
Inquiries into the incident are continuing.

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n a separate incident, a man has been charged after an alleged stabbing near Campbelltown last night.
About 11pm last night (March 31) emergency services were called to a home on Kingston Place, Airds, after reports a man had been stabbed during a fight.
A 50-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the shoulder and was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
Police arrested a 48-year-old man at the scene and he was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with wounding with intent.
The man was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
