A special event has started today at McDonald’s Macarthur stores which raises funds for local youth support programs.
McHappy Time will run until Saturday, June 24, when it will culminate in a big family fun day.
Between today and June 24 McDonald’s Macarthur customers will be able to buy the $2 McHappy Time token.
All funds from the token sales will be donated to local youth charity Youth Solutions, in support of the service’s youth drug and alcohol prevention programs.
Youth Solutions chief executive officer Geraldine Dean thanked McDonald’s in Macarthur is urging local residents to get behind the 2017 McHappy Time program.
“This is a chance to be part of the solution and make a huge difference in the lives of our local young people for just $2,” Mrs Dean said.
“We’d like to see everyone in our community head into our local McDonald’s stores between now and June 24 and donate $2 for the McHappy Time token to support Youth Solutions and the region’s young people.
“We are particularly calling on people to come in store on the Saturday, June 24 for the McHappy Time fun day. “The Youth Solutions team and volunteers will be hopping behind the counter on the day to chat with customers and share our charity’s work with the community. So be sure come by, say hello and purchase the $2 token to support our work with local youth.”
Mrs Dean said all the funds raised from the 2017 McHappy Time program would help Youth Solutions to continue and expand its youth drug and alcohol prevention and education programs with young people across Macarthur and Wingecarribee.
