Local primary school students in Campbelltown will have the opportunity to showcase their artistic abilities in Campbelltown MP Greg Warren’s Christmas card competition.

Year 3 to Year 6 students will each create a design based on the theme, Christmas in Campbelltown.

The winning designs will feature on Mr Warren’s official Christmas cards for 2016.

Students who do not celebrate Christmas are also able to enter under the theme Happy Holidays.

The winning design from Years 5 and 6 will feature on the front of the card, with students in Years 3 and 4 competing for the rear of the card.

And the winning design from each school will also be acknowledged on the inside of the card.

Entries remain open until the end of November, after which the entries will be judged and cards printed.

Every public and private primary school in Campbelltown has been provided with the details on how to enter the competition, and Mr Warren has encouraged local students who are interested in the competition to talk to their teachers.

“I’m delighted to be running my Christmas Card competition with local students for the second year running,’’ Mr Warren said.

“I’ve written to every school principal in Campbelltown asking them to allow their students to participate, so hopefully we’ll have a good number of schools participating and lots of great designs to choose from.”
