The Campbelltown City 2016 Christmas Carols are set to be bigger and better.
The carols found a bigger new home in Campbelltown Sports Stadium last year and this will be the venue again in 2016.
So gather family and friends, bring a rug and picnic, and join in celebrating the start of the festive season on Saturday, December 3, 6pm to 9.30pm.
Hosts Lyndal and Josh from C91.3FM’s Fresh Breakfast and local vocalists and choirs supported by a live band will help the crowds get into the spirit with more than three hours of Christmas carol favourites.
Carollers can also expect a special visit from Santa Claus and a spectacular fireworks display at 9pm.
Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said the popularity of the event had necessitated its move from Campbelltown Arts Centre to Campbelltown Sports Stadium last year, to accommodate the growing crowds.
“The more people who attend, the more atmosphere there is, so I encourage all of Campbelltown to come along,” he said.
“Christmas is all about enjoying time with friends and family, and what better way to do that, and to share this special time with your neighbours and fellow Campbelltown residents, than our annual carols event.
“This year there’ll be lots of popular Christmas carols to sing along to, and a talented line-up of entertainers on stage to lead the singing.

The area around the tree will be decorated for the first time this year, to enhance the spirit of Christmas in Campbelltown. It’s going to look great.”[/social_quote]
A drug and alcohol free event, Campbelltown City Christmas Carols is sponsored by Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Rotary Clubs of Campbelltown and Macarthur Sunrise.
Residents are reminded that fireworks can easily scare animals. If your pet tends to be frightened by loud noises, make sure you keep them restrained or inside the house on Saturday, December 3.
