Get rid of your chemicals to make your homes safer.
Bring your chemicals here: the entrance to the council waste depot.

It’s time to clear the chemical clutter from around your home.

The annual Campbelltown Chemical CleanOut event will again be hosted by Council.

It will do so in partnership with the NSW Environment Protection Authority.

The aim will be to help residents dispose of household chemicals safely and free of charge.

This year’s Campbelltown Chemical CleanOut will be held from 9am to 3.30pm on Saturday and Sunday, July 9-10.

Drop off your chemicals at Campbelltown Council’s waste depot, located at 59 Junction Road, Leumeah.

Residents can drop off household quantities of a range of chemicals free of charge, for safe disposal and recycling.

Here’s what you’re allowed to drop off

You can take household quantities of the following household chemicals and items – up to a maximum of 20 litres or 20 kilograms of a single item:

• Solvents and household cleaners, floor care products, ammonia-based cleaners, pesticides and herbicides, poisons, pool chemicals, hobby chemicals and acids and alkalis.

You can also dispose of motor fuels, fluorescent globes and tubes, smoke detectors, paint and paint-related products, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, car and household batteries, motor oils  and cooking oils.

♦ For more information call the Environment Line on 131 555; A full list of accepted materials is also available at the Clean Out website here.
