A mystery new ride will be on offer when Fisher’s Ghost Carnival returns in November. Campbelltown City Council says the “exciting new thrill ride will make its Sydney debut at this year’s carnival, and it is sure to impress local thrill seekers’’.

“More clues about this new ride will be released in the lead up to the event.’’

This year’s carnival will take place at an expanded Leumeah commuter car park site.

This year’s Carnival will be held each Thursday to Sunday during the 2023 Festival of Fisher’s Ghost, starting on Thursday, November 2 until Sunday, November 12.

A fireworks demonstration will be held each Saturday from 9pm.

“The Fisher’s Ghost Carnival remains a favourite event for many locals and this year we’ve made great efforts to enhance accessibility for our community,” Mayor George Greiss said.

“I encourage everyone to get involved in the amusement attractions and carnival fun we have on offer this year,” Dr Greiss said.

As well as the mystery ride, the carnival will offer daredevil rides, kids rides, a sideshow alley, delicious food and dessert options and show bags.

A ticketed quiet session in support of adults, youth and children living with disability will be held on Sunday, November 5 from 10am to 12pm, including a quiet tent with sensory activities, no flashing lights, music or PA announcements.

Parking will be available at Leumeah station commuter car park, though residents are encouraged to consider public transport options.

Carnival entry is free, while ride tickets will go on sale from this Friday, October 13.
