Generosity, inspiration, sustainability, love and bravery are helping us get through one of the toughest years in our history.

In Camden, Council wants to thank those who stood out in their demonstration of kindness during 2020.

They are asking residents to nominate someone who has stood out in 2020 in their love and commitment to the Camden community.

A limited edition #camdenlove collectable bear will be their reward.

Residents are encouraged to nominate someone who lives in the Camden local government area who they think is worthy of this limited-edition collectable:

  • Generosity Bear – for showing generosity to the Camden community;
  • Inspiration Bear – for inspiring those within your local community by your actions;
  • Love Bear – for showing your love of the Camden area or the Camden people;
  • Bravery Bear – for showing bravery during challenging times; and
  • Sustainability Bear – for showing care for the local natural environment.

“I am extremely proud to be living in a community that truly support each other in every way possible and this campaign gives us the chance to say thank you to those who made it that little bit better for them,” says Mayor of Camden Theresa Fedeli.

“This year alone we have seen great acts of bravery and inspiration early in the year with the bushfires, and flooding and great love and generosity through the pandemic.

“We have seen businesses give away free items, residents pay for others’ groceries and many use council’s ‘Hey Neighbour!’ cards to offer a helping hand.

“It is now your chance to thank those in the community who helped and supported you through a tough year.’’

Nominations for the #camdenlove bears are now open and will be accepted while stocks last. For more information and to nominate your hero, go to bit.ly/camdenlovebears
