Ahead of its opening on Sunday, October 25, Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) is continuing to build momentum with exciting announcements about new airlines, flights and the passenger experience.

WSI has announced its third and fourth international airlines with VietJet and Fiji Airways offering direct connections to Ho Chi Minh and Nadi, respectively from 2027.

VietJet will operate a new non-stop service between Western Sydney and Vietnam beginning January 9, 2027.

Services will depart WSI every Wednesday and Sunday at 12:05 p.m., arriving in Ho Chi Minh City at 4:30 p.m. the same day.

Fiji Airways will operate three weekly services, every Monday, Friday and Sunday between WSI and Nadi from March 19, 2027.

The regular service will depart WSI at 11:55pm and arrive in Nadi just after 5am – ideal timing for long weekend getaways, or for people who want to arrive in Nadi with a full day ahead.

These new international routes will also strengthen connectivity between cultural communities.

With more than half of Sydney’s Vietnamese population and more than 70 per cent of Sydney’s Fijian population living in Western Sydney, the new services will make travelling to visit family and friends more convenient and accessible.

The new routes will join Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand’s international services from WSI, alongside domestic flights with Jetstar and Qantas, giving travellers a growing number of options closer to home.

Jetstar has already boosted the frequency of services between WSI and the Gold Coast to account for growing excitement, interest and travel demand.

When passenger services launch on October 25, local travellers will experience Australia’s first major international greenfield airport development in more than 50 years.

Purpose-built from the ground-up, WSI’s systems and architecture are designed to consider all elements of the passenger journey through the airport.

For passengers driving at WSI, there are more than 6,000 parking spaces available across Premium, Saver and Long-stay options.

Parking can be booked online now including Long-Stay parking from just $15 a day.

Licence plate recognition will enable quick entry and a smooth transit to check-in.

People will also be able to travel by rideshare using wsi’S designated Uber pick-up bays just a stone’s throw from the terminal entry; taxi; private transfer via Super Shuttle WSI or other providers; or public bus, including along the new, toll-free M12 and its interchange with the M7 – providing seamless connectivity across Greater Sydney’s road network.

On entry, passengers pass outdoor gardens and beneath a great Australian veranda into an expansive terminal with abundant natural light.

Australian sandstone feature walls and other fixtures and furnishings pay homage to First Nations communities and include stone from the nearby Nepean River.

The terminal’s signature suspended aluminium ceiling takes its inspiration from the Blue Mountains and Cumberland Plain landscapes, spanning more than 208,000 metres.

Under this single roof, the integrated terminal brings domestic and international operations together by using industry-leading baggage handling technology to service passengers with all airlines.

Forty check-in and 34 bag drop kiosks reduce queuing and prepare luggage for high-speed sortation, security checks and accurate tracking.

The result is a more efficient airport experience from check-in through to boarding.

With passenger services launching this month, and the airport’s offering continuing to expand, WSI will offer Sydneysiders more choice and flexibility on where, when and how they choose to fly.
