Travellers will have another convenient and efficient way to travel between Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) and key metropolitan transport hubs – electric buses.
WSI have today announced the Super Shuttle WSI in partnership with bus transport company NSBC Group.
Super Shuttle WSI will provide express and direct electric bus transfers for passengers travelling between WSI and key locations including Parramatta CBD, Sydney CBD and Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport.
Tickets are on sale from today and launch pricing includes one-way adult tickets from WSI to Parramatta CBD for $25, to Sydney City for $55, or to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport for $65.
WSI CEO Simon Hickey said the new five-year partnership would further expand the choice and flexibility available to passengers travelling to and from Sydney’s new 24-hour airport, strengthening the range of convenient travel options from public bus links, car hire, taxi, rideshare, and expansive on-site parking.
“With the launch of passenger services from 25 October, we’re thrilled to announce Super Shuttle WSI’s express and direct shuttle bus services – available to passengers from the first flight,” he said.
“Our focus is on making every stage of the journey as smooth and straightforward as possible, including travel to and from the airport. Passengers will be able to enjoy a great onboard experience including luggage racks, dedicated space for prams and wheelchairs, and exclusive bus bays for boarding and disembarking at the airport.
“Super Shuttle WSI will provide a comfortable and convenient connection between WSI and some of Sydney’s major transport centres, no matter what time of day or night you are arriving or departing.”
Services will initially be scheduled to align with arriving and departing flights, helping passengers move seamlessly between WSI and Sydney’s major commercial and transport centres.
NSBC Group chief commercial officer Paul Anderson said WSI passengers would benefit from the electric, low-floor bus fleet, with each bus including capacity for 37 passengers, additional standing, and space to accommodate two wheelchair users.
“We are pleased to offer this highly convenient private shuttle service to passengers from when the first flights take off from WSI on October 25, aligned across WSI’s evolving flight schedule,” he said.
“It’s especially great to be able to offer discounted prices for the launch of Super Shuttle WSI – including for adults, children, and families travelling together. The direct, express nature of our services will deliver passengers to the hearts of the Parramatta and Sydney CBDs, as well as Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, with a comfortable, efficient and reliable service.”
