Uber has joined the rush to Western Sydney International (WSI) in a partnership that will provide another convenient and efficient way for passengers to travel to and from the new, 24-hour airport from October 25.
Uber will have an exclusive pick-up zone, only 100 metres walk from WSI’s terminal, including 10 kerbside pick-up bays designed for seamless departures.
Passengers departing WSI will easily find their way to the Uber pick-up zone, with clear signage and wayfinding throughout the airport terminal and precinct.
WSI CEO Simon Hickey said this new partnership would further expand the choice and flexibility available to passengers, strengthening the range of convenient travel options from driving, public bus links, taxi, car hire, private transfer, and expansive on-site parking.
“As the countdown continues to the launch of our inaugural passenger services on October 25, it’s fantastic to have so many options available for passengers to get to and from WSI,’’ he said.
“We know how convenient rideshare is for passengers, being able to order an Uber on demand, with transparent upfront costs and timings applied to your journey. And we are thrilled that WSI’s rideshare services will provide an opportunity for Uber drivers who live in or around Western Sydney to make the most of the chance to work closer to home.”
