
A woman has been charged following a pursuit through Campbelltown and parts of South Western Sydney.
The 24 year old woman was hit with four charges: drive motor vehicle while licence suspended, not stop when directed to do so by police, exceed the speed limit by more than 45km/h, and drive recklessly,
She was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court last Saturday, July 25.
About 9.50pm last Friday, officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command attempted to stop a white Toyota sedan on Copperfield Drive, Rosemeadow.
When the vehicle allegedly failed to stop as directed, police commenced a pursuit which travelled about 50km through the Campbelltown, Liverpool, Cumberland and Bankstown areas.
During the pursuit, the driver allegedly reached speeds of about 170km/h.
Assisted by Traffic and Highway Patrol, PolAir, and commands in the South West Metropolitan Region, the vehicle was followed to Weeroona Road in Berala, where road spikes were successfully deployed.
The driver, a 24-year-old woman, continued at low speed until she was stopped by police on Brunker Road, Yagoona, and removed from the vehicle.
She was subjected to roadside drug and breath tests which returned negative results, before she was taken to Bankstown Police Station where she was charged with the four driving offences.

A police officer has been charged over an alleged assault that occurred last year.
Shortly before 3am on Friday 7 November 2025, police were called to an address in Ashfield following reports of a man allegedly trespassing.
Officers arrested a 32-year-old man at the scene, and during the arrest, he allegedly assaulted two police officers. The man was charged, and the matter has been finalised at court.
During the 32-year-old’s arrest, it is alleged he was assaulted by a 42-year-old Sergeant attached to a South West Metropolitan Region Command.
Following inquiries and a review of the incident, a Future Court Attendance Notice for the charge of common assault was served on the Sergeant last Thursday.
He is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on September 3. The officer is currently suspended with pay.
