Man stabbed outside Macquarie Fields home

Police have commenced an investigation into the stabbing attack on a man outside a Macquarie Fields house last night.

About 7.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, June 16), emergency services were called to Sarissa Way, Macquarie Fields, following reports a man had been assaulted outside a home after a loud argument.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 46-year-old man for several stab wounds to the upper body, before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

Several items were seized for forensic analysis.

A 49-year-old woman missing from Bardia has been located.

Soraya Assaad, aged 49, was last seen on Bardia Avenue, Bardia, on Thursday, June 11.

When she was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police would like to thank everyone who shared their appeal.

An elderly old man has died following a unit fire in Sydney’s south west yesterday.

About 5.20pm (Tuesday, June 16), emergency services were called to a unit block on Brown Road, Bonnyrigg, following reports of a fire.

A man aged was pulled from the building, with police commencing CPR before the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The man died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.
