The NSW Government’s development partner for the Bradfield city precinct, Plenary Group, is searching for a university to establish a new university campus in Australia’s newest city.

An expression of interest process is inviting leading Australian and international universities to propose how they would establish a campus that anchors education, research, industry collaboration and vibrant student life at the heart of Bradfield City.

Plenary is seeking a university partner with world-leading credentials in industry integration, research commercialisation and workforce development.

Plenary is also seeking expressions of interest from businesses interested in co-locating in the Bradfield university precinct.

The university campus will be located adjacent to Bradfield City’s second building, which will commence construction this year and house the advanced manufacturing readiness facility 2 and Australia’s first commercial semiconductor advanced packaging facility.

With direct access to the advanced manufacturing buildings, the university will have the opportunity to deliver up to 30,000sqm of bespoke education, workspace and research facilities that supports Bradfield City’s vision for an advanced industry ecosystem.

The new university campus will be uniquely positioned to attract students, researchers and industry collaborators from one of Australia’s largest and fastest-growing talent pools, while building the skills pipeline and R&D capability needed to support the region’s priority industries.

Backed by a $28 billion NSW Government investment and infrastructure program, including the Western Sydney International airport opening this year, Bradfield City will become a centre for advanced industries, global connectivity and long-term economic growth.

Plenary, in partnership with the NSW Government, is developing the city precinct, a 5.7-hectare parcel of prime land adjacent to Bradfield City’s first building, Central Park and the new Metro station.

The EOI process, managed by CBRE, is now open.
