Last year one of the recipients of the IMB Bank community foundation grants was Revolve Recycling Foundation, pictured above.

“The funding has helped our organisation provide bicycles to newly arriving migrants and refugees,’’ says foundation spokesman Guido Verbist.

Many of those helped live in outer South Western Sydney.

“Around 60 bikes, along with helmets, lights, and locks are being delivered to provide much needed transport to work and school,” he said.

“This helps to alleviate poverty, disadvantage and distress in the community.

“The people we support are incredibly appreciative of the program and the support from IMB Bank has brought many smiles.”

The IMB Bank community foundation is calling for charities and community organisations to apply for a share in $770,000 in funding on offer this year.

Current research is showing one in three people are skipping meals, over 2.3 million Australians face domestic and family violence – especially during financial stress – and one in four are feeling lonely.

“The IMB Bank community foundation is here to help organisations that help foster culture, education and community connection, and who are there for people doing it tough,’’ says Robert Ryan, IMB Bank chief executive.

“We’re proud to support the many local heroes playing a part in delivering vital services in our communities.”

IMB Bank Community Foundation has ben going for 26 years and has funded more than 1,100 projects.

This year it will support projects across six key themes: social, environmental, cultural, educational, community development, and community connection.

Applying for a grant is simple and not-for-profit organisations throughout the area are encouraged to apply. Applications for 2026 are now open and close on June 14. Visit www.imb.com.au/community to find out if your project is eligible and to apply online.
