This year’s youth forum will give participants the opportunity tackle several issues, from the environment to creative ways with waste.
Young people aged 12 to 24 are encouraged to register for the 2026 Campbelltown City Council Youth Forum to be held at St Helens Park Community Hall on Thursday, May 7.
From 9am to 3pm, local young people can join a variety of interactive workshops promoting creativity, collaboration and sustainability habits.
“Our Youth Forum is a chance for our younger residents to come together and share their thoughts, opinions and contributions together in a collaborative space,” says Campbelltown Mayor Darcy Lound.
“This year is a chance to empower our future leaders with practical, hands-on sustainability experiences, where they can form strong habits, learn from guest experts and build collaborative relationships with other young people from across our community,” he Lound said.
“I encourage everyone to register now for another great year of our Youth Forum,” he said.
This year’s workshops include:
- Turning Waste into Wonder – Creative craft with recycled materials.
- Koala Guided Bushwalk – Join a leader from council’s Bushcare Team and discover the wonder of Dharawal bushland.
- Weaving Workshop – Learn the art of weaving from local Aboriginal community members.
- Terrarium Making – Create your own terrarium and learn about the greenhouse effect.
